In the RN to MSN program, you can work towards achieving an in-demand MSN degree of your choice. Missouri Baptist University currently offers the following MSN degrees:

Applicants will select one of these degree options at the beginning of the RN to MSN program so they can tailor graduate courses to their MSN goals.

Qualifications

To qualify for the RN to MSN, applicants must have proof of completion of a state board-approved associate degree or diploma nursing program and hold a current, unrestricted RN license. While students may enter the program without an RN license, it must be obtained by the end of the second term. Once the BSN is conferred, students will complete an application for the MSN and enroll to leverage the previously earned credits. If a student completes the BSN and enrolls immediately into the MSN, an application won’t be required. 

General Education Requirements

Students are required to complete required general education courses before BSN conferral. However, we find that most students have the majority of general education courses previously completed. We can complete an unofficial evaluation to give you a better idea of what to expect. With our generous transfer policy, we will work with you to ensure maximum credit for completed coursework.

Clinicals

During the RN-BSN portion of the program, students participate in practice learning experience hours which provide real-world application through activities such as interviews, observations, online modules, and more. Once students enter the MSN program, they will be required to complete clinical hours at an approved location of choice. Number of clinical hours required varies depending on the chosen MSN program track.

Approved Locations

Please note, we are not able to provide the MSN program in every state due to Board of Nursing requirements. Please check with your enrollment counselor before enrolling if you live outside of Missouri. We are currently approved to offer the MSN in several states, and we can verify if your state is approved.
